SMC - The Unique Photonic Slot-In Module Concept
 

With the introduction of the SMC - the new Slot Module Concept - MEOS sets an unique milestone for modern multimedia supported experimental systems. This concept provides a variety of photonic and electronic slot modules which are inserted into a base housing. This contains both required modern switched power supplies and a USB hub which allows each module to be connected to a computer. Now the experiments can be operated locally with a remote control. The provided software detects the connected slot modules and allows operation via software control. Since the computer running the software can be connected to a beamer, this concept provides an excellent platform for lecturing and other multimedia applications.
The ingenious SMC can connect existing MEOS experimental systems to the world of multimedia or can be operated standalone with its photonic and electronic slot in modules.
