Laser Light Barrier
The LLB unit is mounted on a mast holder bracket and can be
precisely adjusted by means of fine pitch screws in combination
with strong dish washer springs for long term position
stability.
The attached sun roof protects against heat as well as unwanted
light to the receiver section. The units are available in three
versions, as a pure transmitter (Tx), receiver (Rx) and a
combined transmitter and receiver (Rx/Tx). The latter one is
used in a chain, whereby the receiver and a single transmitter
are forming the beginning or the end of the chain.

Transmitter
20.040.1000
A Laser Light Barrier chain starts with a transmitter. For
this purpose the model LLB-Tx is used, which only contains the
Laser transmitter section. The housing is the same as the other
models; however the receiver section has been left empty.

Receiver
20.040.1002
Regularly a Laser Light Barrier chain terminates with a
receiver. For this purpose the model LLB-Rx is used, which only
contains the receiver section. The housing is the same as the
other models; however the transmitter section has been left
empty.

Single chain arrangement, a maximum
distance of 500 m can be covered.

Transmitter & Receiver
20.040.1004
As an intermediate element of a chain this model is used. It
provides on one side the receiver and on the other side the
transmitter section. In order to form also curved line
structures, the transmitter optics can be tilted by max. 3°
suitable for polygonal approaches of circular perimeters. |

LLB Chain, the maximum distance between to modules is 500 m,
however can be extended without limits

Junction Box JB-LLB24
20.040.1050
For the operation of the LLB, the DC power supply for the Laser
transmitter as well as for the electronic board is provided by
the junction box. The emitted Laser light is modulated by a
certain frequency to which the receiver only reacts. In case the
barrier is interrupted or the transmitter fails, an alarm signal
is generated. Via the RS485 data interface the state of the LLB
is requested by the central alarming unit located in the central
rack inside the main control room.
Four Laser Light Barriers can be connected to a single junction
box (20.040.1052). The electronic board inside the weather proof
housing (IP65) is also equipped with the RS485 bus interface
which is connected either via two wires, or to cover longer
distances via a pair of glass fibres, to the other members of
the LLB chain and finally to the alarming processor inside the
control room.
