Wall Mount Holder
20.040.0200
The DNC-20-04 provides a holder bracket which can be
attached via two M6 threads to a variety of wall or mast
holders. Depending on the individual requirements of a project
other holders can be provided. For the connection of the
DNC-20-04 to the junction box a flexible weather resistant hose
is provided in which the optical fibre as well as the power
supply lines are protected.

Camera Junction Box
20.040.0102
The camera DNC-20-04 requires an operating voltage of 9VDC
which is provided by the camera junction box CJB-20-04.
Furthermore, the junction box is equipped with a female ST/ST
fibre connector to connect the optical fibre of the camera to
the residual fibre network. The junction box complies with the
protection class of IP65 and is therefore ideally suited for
outdoor operation under even harsh conditions. The optical fibre
as well as the 230 VAC cable is connected via grommets to
provide IP65 protection. For the 230 VAC supply lines two
grommets are provided for chaining a series of junction boxes.

The MEOS camera DNC-20-04-Z is provided with a special CCD chip
which allows the operation in colour mode at daylight and in
black & white mode at night. Due to its excellent infrared
sensitivity, invisible IR radiation can be used to enhance the
available light at night. The camera is directly integrated into
a completely sealed (IP65) weather resistant housing having the
smallest available size. The front window is coated with a self
cleaning pearl finish glass and is designed for application in
hot and humid environment. The MEOS camera series DNC is
equipped with an integrated fibre transmitter output for the
video signal for direct application of advanced fibre
technology.
The MEOS camera DNC-20-04–Z model is provided with a motorized
zoom objective. To accommodate longer motorized zoom objectives
the housing of the camera has an extended length of 284 mm
instead of 218 mm as for the standard DNC-20-04.
The objective is provided with motorized zoom and focusing.

Day & Night Camera
DNC-20-04 - P
20.040.0140
The unique design reflects the needs for ruggedised and
vandalism proofed surveillance cameras. Furthermore, it
disguises the appearance as a “camera” and its
application is found in places where high quality video
images and nearly hidden operation is a must. Due to the
periscopic optical arrangement the camera is almost
bullet proof, only the front glass or in serious case
the bending mirror may be affected; the valuable
objective and camera are protected. As shown down, the
camera can be also be used in horizontal position. As
all other models of the DNC series the video signal is
connected via optical glass fibre to the receiver.
Depending on the specific application the lens objective
needs to be defined. The standard configuration comes
with the objective and CCD chip. |

The Desert Owl
20.040.0144
The “Desert Owl” series of DNC-20-04-P camera family
provides a unique design to cover specialised
applications. The
“Desert Owl” combines a high sensitivity camera with a
special Laser system to illuminate the dark with
invisible light. The design is weather proof wherever
the “Desert Owl” will do its duty. The ruggedised
housing protects the valuable interior against
vandalism. The required application determines the kind
of CCD chip to be used as well as the optical power of
the Laser section. In applications where the power
consumption plays an important role, the CCD chip will
be a CMOS one. The emitted Laser radiation is invisible
to the human eye and the Laser output power in the
standard configuration is 1 Watt. The coverage of the
“Desert Owl” depends on the chosen lens objective (f
number), the sensitivity of the CCD chip used as well as
on the Laser power. Under standard conditions 2 km can
be covered.
In connection with the MEOS video software providing
motion detection, the “Desert Owl” is ideally suited for
automated day and night operation. Especially the fact
that objects appear under NIR illumination in white
colour, this contrast change enhances the liability of
the motion detection.
The figure on the left shows the “Desert Owl” in its
element, surveillance tasks in the desert, however
equipped with a solar panel and mounting tube. Such a
unit is self-contained and needs only to be connected to
the optical fibre to transfer the video signal to a
control room which may be located at a distance of 80
km.
