The intended application of the PSS-20-04 is the protection of
sensitive areas utilizing a central control room equipped with a
central rack, control monitor, control desktop and synoptically
panels.
The provided Central Video Processor handles a variety of tasks
to monitor and control the entire system. A major part is the
synoptically panel which on one display monitors the mapped area
and indicates a visual or audio alarm of a particular sensor. On
a second display the images of the cameras are displayed
successively. In case of an alarm the system switches to either
the activated camera or in case the alarm has been issued by the
Laser Light Barrier to the closest located camera. Via the
provided software motion detection the cameras can be activated
and the area of interest of the image chosen in such a way, that
frequently moving parts like trees etc. are excluded.
The detection of alarm events generated either by the passive
infrared motion sensors or by the Laser Light Barriers is
processed by a stand alone micro processor system integrated
into the central rack.
The central rack also accommodates the termination panel of the
incoming optical fibre and the optical receiver.
Via a multi core optical fibre a separate control centre can be
connected to the main control room. The operator of this control
centre is able to select the view of a specific camera. The
image is displayed on the scene monitor of the synoptical panel.
In case of an alarm the synoptical panel indicates the source of
the alarm in the same way as within the main control room.
The maximum distance of the extended control room to the central
one is 6 km in the standard version; however it can be extended
up to 80 km by using single mode fibre transmission.
Depending on the configuration of the surveillance system, the
central rack is equipped with different units. |
